Debonairs Pizza Employee Fired After Video Of Him Spitting On Customers’ Pizza Goes Viral. - watch video

A Debonairs Pizza restaurant employee was caught on camera spitting on a customer’s pizza. Gross.
In the clip, the employee can be seen spitting on pizza bases at Debonairs Pizza in Sunnyside Pretoria before covering them in sauce.

Since the clip went viral, the employee has been fired.

Famous Brands Management Companywhich runs the restaurant where the incident was filmed, said in a statement: “As soon as we became aware through social media of potential food tampering, we immediately closed that food stand and disposed of all the product.

“Food safety is our top priority and we will take any appropriate action necessary to protect our guests.”

A colleague who asked not to be named, shared the video with us and told us that the employee spitting on pizza was ‘having a bad day’ when he spit on the pizza, admitting that the employee had done it to other pizzas in the past.

Our witness who emailed us the video directly said that he was trying to do the right thing when he decided to share the video, but claims that he has since been threatened by his bosses because the video.
He said that he had tried to alert managers what was happening, but no one listened.
“Every time I tried to talk, they told me to shut up,” said our witness.
The email sent to us containing the video wrote: “I was sent home early today because I didn’t have on my Debonairs Pizza shirt and they said I was at the bathroom for too long.
“So, they yelled at me and told me to go home, but i know it is because of the video!"
“The customers don’t deserve this!! This is disgusting! And for the company to threaten to fire me for exposing this video to the customers is also disgusting!”
